Messing with my kitty

What good is it having a pet if you can't mess with its head every so often? I was sitting on the sofa with my kitty Spud curled up next to me. He was asleep and by the way his muzzle twitched, It seemed to me he was dreaming of eating something. I decided to make his dreams a little more real. I took a bit of alfredo sauce left over from dinner and gently placed a tiny dab of it just under his nose.

The result was better than I hoped. He began vigorously licking his lips and swallowing. He "ate" for a full five minutes never once waking. I honestly expected him to wake after a few seconds. It really was quite comical. Later after Spud had finally woken up, I offered him a small saucer of sauce that he declined. I guess he had had his fill while dreaming.

I really need to get out more.
